Career journey
At age 10: Selling coloured books, pens and slap wrist bands that were gifted to me from my Grandmother and sold it to my friends in year 4 for £1 each, making my highest revenue of £10 in a day! Getting something for free and making 100% profit.
At age 14: Selling sweets, crisps and chocolate like all the boys did in secondary school, even when we weren’t supposed to but it definitely helped with making extra income on top of the money my mother gave me weekly.
At age 15: Learnt how to do braids (hairstylist). Started out as life skill, then I got encouraged by my family and friend’s to start doing my their hair for a little fee. Realising I could make extra income from my own skills at a young age. It wasn’t the best due to charging low prices in exchange for working long hours and travelling to my clients. However, I gained many self employment skills.
At age 17-19: Launched my own clothing line called Dreameus London (Streetwear). Still doing hair and started agency waitress/stewarding jobs whist at College and University.
At the age 20+: Became a successful full time hairstylist and microblader artist. Created my own wig haircare line. That had a product portfolio of 7 products, however now 2. Created a Hair tool line selling professional straightners. A qualified hairstylist teacher, hosting many 1:1 classes and now a mentor/consultant.
